Noquemanon Ski Marathon
The Noquemanon Ski Marathon in Marquette has been fascinating the best and recreational cross country skiers from across the world for over two decades. It takes place from 24th to 26th January. The Noquemanon trails are famous for their rugged and natural Upper Peninsula forest course and its distinct region. Polar Roll
Taking place on 15th &16th February, Polar Roll is the largest Fat-bike event in the whole of Michigan. UP 200
The UP 200 held in Marquette is one of America's top-notch sled dog races. The race trail covers over 240 miles of challenging terrain through the areas of Marquette to Grand Marais, Wetmore, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It finishes at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.

SportsRack Store
SportsRack store provides multitudes of choices for fat-tire bikes. It’s located on Washington Street, about a Mile from Superior Stay Hotel. Don’t want to buy it, then simply rent it at $50 for 24 hours. The fat tire bike rentals come with 45NRTH tires which are found to work extremely well in our terrain and in a variety of snow conditions. These rentals come with a helmet, a tube, patch kit, pump, and flat pedals. Call at least a week ahead to reserve your bike and to avoid disappointment.

Wetmore Landing Shore Trail
Wetmore Landing Shore trails is another easy trail that features the refreshing Lake Superior Shores views on one side and a rocky hiking trail with root formations. It takes 11 minutes to reach Wetmore Landing Shore from the Superior Stay Hotel by car. It’s about 3.6 miles long with picturesque views of red and yellow hues.
Sugarloaf Mountain
Sugarloaf Mountain is the most famous summit in Marquette County, and because of its popularity, it always remains crowded. It is a short hike of 15 to 20 minutes and possibly the best spot to see the Fall Foliage when you reach up there as you can experience an incredible 360-degree view. It takes 11 minutes to reach Sugarloaf from the Superior Stay Hotel by car.
Hogback Mountain
Many visitors visit Hogback Mountain to enjoy the magical fall leaves, as, after Sugarloaf, Hogback is the second most famous summit in Marquette. It takes 21 minutes to reach Hogback from the Superior Stay Hotel by car. This trail is a little confusing with the other trails around but still worth the effort.
