Northern Michigan University students, families, and guests now have a brand new Hotel located at the University’s doorstep. Superior Stay Hotel opened in July 2020, just a few steps away from the Superior Dome, to provide convenient lodging facilities near the University.
Superior Stay Hotel provides the following amenities for the Northern Michigan University Community:
- A discounted room rate for all reservations made directly through the Superior Stay Hotel website at www.SuperiorStayHotel.com
- Simple Check-in for underage guests(students) using the Third-party Credit Card authorization form, filled and submitted by their guardians/guarantors over 21 years of age.
- Always free breakfast and coffee for all guests. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate.

- Flexible Check-In and Check-Out times.
- Free onsite laundry machine
- NMU Employees and Guests, when traveling on official University business, can request tax-exempt reservations.
- Parents can ship any boxes, luggage, and care package for students before arriving at the hotel, and we will store it and make it available to students upon arrival.
- Hotel offers free parking to guests
